<idPurp>Provide linear information and a consistent set of attribute fields for proposed and existing shared use path facilities within the Greenville Urban Area MPO created through the Active Transportation Master Plan (ATP) in 2017, prepared by Alta Planning + Design.
The City departments that review future development should use this layer. The data should guide the multimodal accommodations in existing and future development. The Greenville Urban Area MPO’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan has been updated. The Final Plan, now titled the Greenville Urban Area Active Transportation Master Plan, or ATP, can be viewed in the following link: https://www.greenvillenc.gov/home/showdocument?id=15462. The ATP replaced the 2011 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, which, for historical purposes, can be seen in the MPO’s website. </idPurp>

<statement>The data contained within this feature class is a result of cleaning and compiling geospatial data from local bicycle and pedestrian plans supported by the NCDOT Planning Grant Initiative (2004-2013) and voluntary submissions from local jurisdictions from a solicitation process starting in early 2013. All relevant shared use path data was preserved from the original data sets and additional information on the jurisdiction from which the data was obtained can be found within the ENTITY field. The data set remains incomplete as solicitation from agencies and jurisdictions within North Carolina is ongoing.</statement>
